HM-HPMC
Hydrophobically Modified Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose
HM-HPMC is made by introducing hydrophobic groups into HPMC molecules. It is used in fracturing fluids for coalbed methane extraction, where it thickens the fluid while maintaining the hydrophobicity of the coal surface, helping to reduce water-locking effects.
