How Does Powder Defoamer Work in Self Leveling Mortar?

When water is added to a self-leveling mortar, air becomes trapped within the mix, forming small bubbles. These bubbles can remain inside the layer or reach the surface as pinholes after curing, severely affecting surface appearance and mechanical properties.

Tenessy Powder Defoamer contains a unique blend of hydrophobic silica, mineral carriers, and active defoaming ingredients. Upon mixing, it rapidly disperses and migrates to the air-water interface, where it destabilizes foam films and releases trapped air. Its powder form ensures excellent compatibility with drymix systems, providing consistent defoaming performance without affecting flowability or setting behavior.
